Minoan Group has designed Cavo Sidero to the highest sustainable environmental standards embracing all aspects of the site itself as well as the broader employment, socio-economic, water, farming, education and cultural aspects within the municipality of Itanos. The local communities of Itanos and Sitia are providing ongoing environmental consultation advice and will participate in the long term environmental management plan for the area
